HU OAA Names New Assistant Director of Young Alumni

Da’Quan Marcell Love, B.A ’14 began serving his Alma Mater in August as the 4th Assistant Director of Young Alumni. In this role he manages student and young alumni engagement activities focused on improving our alumni giving percentage rate. Further, he works with the National Hampton Alumni Association, Inc. (NHAA, Inc.) Endowed Scholars and manages all social media and web presence of the Office of Alumni Affairs.CNXA2U1WUAAxwN2

He has hit the ground running as evidenced through his planning of a Pre-Alumni Council Leadership Retreat on Sunday, September 20th from 1 pm – 6 pm. The engaging and interactive sessions focused on the Hampton Legacy, Leadership Development,  Membership and of course, the NHAA, Inc.

20413182943_f8a7988161_oDa’Quan returns to Hampton after a successful year as a high school social studies teacher and district teacher-leader in North Carolina. Teaching in one of the state’s lowest performing schools, his students grew by leaps and bounds – earning the some of the district’s highest test scores.

The Hampton University family is excited to have Da’Quan back home. During his time as a student, he served as the 69th Student Government Association President, Captain of the School of Liberal Arts Debate Team, Student Leader and as a Resident Assistant.
